Renowned Niviuk Factory pilot Ramón Morillas has again set a historic milestone in the world of paramotoring. On 23 December 2023 he set two new foot-launched tandem paramotor (RPF2T) altitude world records* to add to his already long and well-known track record.
Flying Niviuk’s Takoo 5 (size 42), Ramón, together with his co-pilot Carlos Peña, climbed to an impressive 7186 metres, setting the record for the highest altitude gain. The previous record was 5066 m (+2,120 m), set in 2015.

He also broke the record for the time taken to climb to 6000 metres in just 1 hour and 20 minutes. These achievements showcase not only Ramon Morillas’ skill as a pilot, but also the exceptional quality and performance of the Takoo 5. The flight, which took place in Cenes de la Vega (Granada, Spain), now awaits official ratification by the FAI (Fédération Aéronautique Internationale).
These records are not only a triumph for Ramón and Niviuk, but also represent a significant breakthrough in paragliding and paramotoring, demonstrating the extraordinary capabilities that can be achieved with the right technology, equipment and weather.
